Community Garden Initiative in Soweto

Background Story

Our neighborhood in Soweto has limited access to fresh, affordable vegetables. We've secured permission to use a vacant 2-acre plot and have volunteers ready to work, but we need funds for soil preparation, irrigation, seeds, and basic gardening tools. This garden will serve over 50 families and create 3 part-time jobs for local youth. We'll also establish a small market day where excess produce can be sold to support garden maintenance.
